8th Grade Advisory Food Drive

8th Grade Advisory Groups Donate to Food Pantry
Posted on 12/20/2024
At the first 8th grade Advisory session for the month of December, students learned about the effects of food scarcity and food insecurity on human growth, well-being, academic success, productivity, mood, and attitude.
On Dec. 18, at the second session of the month, students participated in a service project to positively contribute toward combating food insecurity here in Bergen County.
Students in each Advisory group brought in canned goods for the Social Service Association Food Pantry in Ridgewood. A big congratulations to Ms. McSweeney’s and Señor Nuñez’s Advisory group! Their students collected more cans than any other—an impressive 85 cans! Collectively, the 8th grade class donated 378 cans to the food pantry. Thank you to everyone for your participation and generosity!
