Lights, camera… HISTORY! GR Morning News has officially launched its newest segment, GR History Makers, and they’re kicking things off in a BIG way!
In Episode 1, which can be watched here, GRHS History teacher Mr. Rowan shines the spotlight on two trailblazers who are changing the game—Nadia Bibi ’29 and Sophia Meehan ’28. These incredible student-athletes are the first young women to join the GRHS Wrestling program and they’re already making their mark in the record books.
Nadia brought home 3rd place at the BCWCA Girls County Tournament, becoming the first girls county place winner in GRHS history! Sophia battled her way to an impressive 5th place finish, proving the future of GR wrestling is stronger than ever.
