Reflecting on her appointment, she shared that each of her roles in the District has meaningfully contributed to her professional growth and shaped her educational journey. “I was a classroom teacher at Byrd, the District’s elementary math coach, and currently, I am the intervention strategy coach at Hamilton,” she explained. “These experiences have allowed me to collaborate closely with students, families, teachers, and administrators across the District. Each role has deepened my understanding of effective instruction and strengthened my commitment to supporting both student growth and teacher development.”
A new position for the 2025-26 academic year, the role of the Supervisor of Elementary Education has been established to foster an exemplary, consistent, and cohesive elementary education experience across the District. The Supervisor will collaborate with Elementary Principals, 6-12 subject area supervisors, and school staff to develop and implement board-approved curricula and provide high quality instructional feedback and professional development opportunities to elementary staff. This new position underscores the District’s continued commitment to academic excellence and its strong emphasis on supporting the whole child.

She earned a master’s degree in Special Education and completed a Post Master’s Supervisor Certification Program from William Paterson University. In her new position, Hirsch shared that she is especially looking forward to reconnecting and collaborating with staff and administrators across all four elementary schools. “Glen Rock’s schools are filled with passionate professionals, innovative practices, and hardworking, incredible students,” she continued. “I look forward to supporting and amplifying the great work already underway in this new role.”
