Announcing our Spring, 2020 Middle School/High School Transition Meeting! This informative meeting for parents of students with IEP's who will be entering 6th and 9th grade in the 2020-2021 school year has been scheduled on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at 7:00pm in the MSHS Media Center. Rowan University is hosting their Annual College Prep Transition Conference on Saturday, April 4, 2020. A variety of workshops are offered to High School students with disabilities and their parents, to provide knowledge of the transition process from High School into College. The Julia Kirsch Foundation (
www.JuliaKirschFoundation.org ) is excited to sponsor a Hoops Clinic for Special Needs Kids/Young Adults. Our program will be partnered with the Bounce Out the Stigma Project (www.bounceoutthestigma.orgfounded by former 13 year member of the Harlem Wizards "Mighty Mike” Simmel. Bounce Out the Stigma is a program that seeks to empower children and teens by instilling self-confidence and improving motor skill development by using basketball as a catalyst. “Mighty Mike” will be assisted by a team of Glen Rock High School student volunteer coaches and other trained personnel.  Kids/Young Adults with special needs ages 7-21 are welcome. The Outreach Program for Soccer (TOPSoccer) is a program for individuals with disabilities (ages 4-18) who would like to learn and play soccer while having fun! The Spring 2020 Session (Saturdays in March) has just been announced -- please click HERE for all the info!
